Fairytale Entertainment, LLC is always on the lookout for talented people to help us bring make-believe alive for children at parties and special events in Atlantic County and Cape May County, New Jersey.
We schedule interviews and auditions for characters, balloon artists, face painters, magicians, performers, etc., year-round. If you are interested in working for us, you should know the following:
- We are very selective with who we hire. As a mom, sending you to be in another family’s home and a role model for their children; I am concerned about who you are not only when you are on the clock, but when you are off. Anyone can put on a costume or twist and turn balloons, it takes someone special to be a princess, superhero, or work well with children. I only get one chance to make a good impression on a family, you only get one chance to make a good impression on me.
- For characters, we are looking for individuals to fill roles we already have as well as to play new characters we could add. New characters come to us from parent’s requests as well as from candidates who have a passion for playing a particular character.
- Interested candidates will be screened during an interview process. If successful, they will be scheduled for an audition lasting no more than an hour.
- Experience is always a plus, but not required.
- In most cases, you are responsible for your own transportation to and from an event.
- We offer a variety of competive pay rates, depending on the type of event and the level of responsibility placed on the performer. Characters who provide and maintain their own costumes and performers who maintain their own supplies are paid at a higher rate.
- Characters and some performers are required to write a blog before being paid.
- If chosen, understand that you are hired on an as-needed basis. You are not considered an employee of Fairytale Entertainment, but rather an independent performer/entertainer. You are responsible for your own taxes on any income you earn.
